Some time ago when using CLeaner I received and upgrade message and CCleaner7 uploaded did not work and I get the message . Alright so I deleted CCleaner, down loaded was I thought was CCleaner Professional and I still see CCleaner7. When I installed the software and ran the program beautiful it worked and did the job. Tonight I clicked on the icon and the CCleaner cannot start message. Now I am lost as I as I do not want to delete and reinstall every time.
Win10, Dell Inspiron 14 3000.

Did you click on the link given to download/reinstall WebView2 Runtime ?
Alternatively try updating Edge itself to see if that fixes WebView2 Runtime.
(It was probably a glitched Edge update that stopped it working).
I get this message “CCleaner Browser blocked this download because the site isn’t using a secure connection and the file may have been tampered with”. I started Edge and same results with message. I don’t understand why CCleaner Professional does not work and I have to spend time making changes. I need an answer.
It isn’t CCleaner that is the problem here.
The problem is that "WebView2 Runtime’ isn’t working properly on your machine.
You may find that other things will also stop working, or stop displaying properly.
You need to repair or reinstall the Webview2 Runtime on your machine and then CCleaner will be able to run again.

If you select the Evergreen Bootstrapper and download and install WebView2 this should resolve your issue.
I tried to download webview2 and when I went to install message said already installed. I did searches and file never showed. I went into File Explorer and did a search on the This PC started and walked away. The search found two webview2 files besides the one I downloaded. I ran one of the webview2 files as Run as Administrator and asked to reinstall. The reinstall took several minutes and afterwards CCleaner did work.
I don’t know why the webview2 file needed installed and the process to locate was not simple as a couple hours invested. Hopefully CCleaner functions today when I try to start software.
