Just a status update to your original question to let you know that Avast / Piriform has added the CCleaner options back to the Recycle Bin right-click menu of CCleaner v7.x. The release notes <here> for CCleaner v7.06.1270 (rel. 25-Mar-2026) now state part:
Recycle Bin shortcuts We’ve added two new options to your Recycle Bin right-click menu: clean your Recycle Bin instantly or launch a Custom Clean analysis - without opening CCleaner first.
Kudos to Nergal for pointing this out in their 25-Mar-2026 post in jeffgillan’s Recycle bin and CCleaner 7.1.1042.0.
Unfortunately, if you want to use a Portable edition of CCleaner the latest available version is still v6.39.11548 (rel. 20-Aug-2025), and Avast / Piriform will not be releasing a Portable edition of CCleaner v7.x. I checked again today, and as I noted in my 08-Nov-2025 post <above>, if I plug in the USB stick where my current CCleaner Portable v6.39.11548 is located and right-click on the Recycle Bin icon on my desktop I can confirm that “Open CCleaner” will correctly launch CCleaner and that “Run CCleaner” will execute a Custom Clean with my current Custom Clean settings without needing to open CCleaner.
