Hello. I recently purchased a 1-year subscription to CCleaner Professional Plus from your website, not the Google Play Store. This subscription covers 3 devices (PC, Mac, or Android). I am having trouble activating the Android version.
When I open the app and go to “My Subscription” (via the hamburger menu), I am taken to an “Upgrade Now” screen, asking me to pay $26.99. Clicking this provides no option to enter my existing serial key.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app (v. 24.20.0 (800010854)), hoping to see the activation instructions outlined on your website, but the app interface doesn’t match those instructions.
Is there a separate Pro version of CCleaner for Android that I need to download? Could you please provide guidance on how to activate my subscription on my Android device?
Thank you, but the instructions you provided were not helpful as the GUI in my app differs. I am unable to locate the place to input my key.
Here are the steps I have taken:
Clicked the hamburger menu at the top left of the opening page.
Selected “My Subscription” from the dropdown menu.
Clicked the “Already Purchased?” button within the three-dot menu on the “Upgrade Now” page.
This action returned me to the “Upgrade Now” page without providing an option to enter my key. I also explored the $26.99 upgrade process, but found no key entry option there either.
As you say that is not the same as the steps shown in the support article.
I’m not sure why you are going into ‘My Subscription’? That isn’t mentioned in that article at all.
Have you missed a step, or do you not see the ‘Upgrade’ button.
Open CCleaner Android, tap the ‘Upgrade’ button, tap the 3-dots, tap ‘Use an activation code’, enter the code.
OK, I just installed CCleaner for Android onto my phone.
So first off here is how you enter your multi-device CCleaner Pro Plus or Premium key into a new install.
See the next post for if you already have CCleaner Android Free installed.
Once installed and opened, tapping through the initial setup it comes to this page:
Hello again, and thank you for all your time and effort. For some reason I can’t upload the screenshots due to a media upload error: (Multiple errors occurred: 1) Sorry, you can’t embed media items in a post. 2) Sorry, new users can only put 2 links in a post.). I tried, and seems the only workaround I found is opening these links in different tabs to see the sequence, but I don’t expect you to have to go through that. Must be because I don’t have enough posting privileges, or can’t figure it out, but been doing forums for years now.
That’s an interesting difference in the screens that we see.
Every one of those screens is different from what I see, it’s as if we are installing different versions.
I find it particularly interesting that yours talks about “for Mac, Windows, and Android” as if it doesn’t know that you are installing/using CCleaner Android?
What make/model is your Android phone, and what Android version is it running?
And just to be sure - you are getting CCleaner Android from the Google Play Store and not from elsewhere?
PS. I have done some tweaking of your forum user permissions, see if you can post images now.
Thank you. My daily driver is a Pixel 7 Pro and the version of Android is 15. I only get apps from the Play Store. When I get home I’ll try and upload the pics again in order, and going to install on my unlocked Pixel 8A and see how that goes as I hadn’t thought of that, as well as my Samsung S9 tablet. Thank you again.
Hello again, and thank you for your time and attention. I tried on my Pixel 8a and got the same result. I’ll try and leave the screenshots here, which are the same as earlier on my Pixel 7 Pro:
And here are the remaining five, I tried to keep them all in order. My Pixels seem to not like taking screenshots, but then again, I don’t take many so probably user error.
I forgot one, which you’ll see reads Discover your Pro features, but then wants me to upgrade to Pro Plus, which is what I supposedly paid for when I bought CCleaner directly from the CCleaner website.
Hello again, and I just checked my order email, and I’m sorry to have wasted your time, only the Pro version was included as copied and pasted here: Clean, optimize, and speed up your Android phone or tablet
Did you know that you can download CCleaner for Android Pro with the same activation key as part of your bundle?
Can you please delete this entire thread? And once again, sorry to have been so much trouble, but CCleaner has a great resource in you and should be proud. Thank you again!!
I upgraded from CCleaner Pro to CCleaner Professional Plus and when I tap on “already purchased?” while in the app, it just takes me to the previous page and there is no option to enter new license key. I have tried re-installing the app.
