If you setup in Options->Updates to do nothing and you clearly see in the program itself at Tools->Startup that nothing from ccleaner is now up: the program still tries to penetrate a firewall which gives the impression you try to drop under the radar against the user which is offensive. I suggest to remove any attempt of the updater to contact anything on the internet unless the user sets it up that way.
The behavior of the updater executable is offensive.
