Sadly this is a long running bug that the developers have yet been able to squash. Some SSD are reported to be HDD in piriform software.
How do I submit an actual bug report and receive formal support?

Defraggler v2.21.993 (64-bit) fails to recognize my boot drive as a SSD.
Alienware 15 R3
Disk: Model NVMe THNSN5256GPUK NV (Toshiba 228GB SSD)OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299
Is there a way to force it to do so?
Does this application support SSD drives?

removed name of competition software
I wonder why they simply do not offer the option for the user to properly identify the drive?
For example, [competition software] has an option such that I can easily change the type of drive the tool assumes I am using. Implementing this type of option seems to be an easy development fix versus trying to handle it without user intervention.
