  1. those 'skipped' messages indicate that CC thinks IE, or an IE related task, is still running.

     

    can you start the PC in Safe Mode and run CC and see if it runs without problem.

    then reboot normally and run CC again and see if the skipped messages re-appear.

     

    if that pans out as planned, your PC has something running that CC wants closed before IE can be cleaned.

    it may not mean IE is open but some shared common MS process which needs to be identified.

    first potential culprit would be MSE.

  2. Recently reinstalled my OS as well as CCleaner, now when I run it, it says....

     

    IE   Temp Int files............Skipped

    IE    History......................Skipped

    IE....Cookies.....................Skipped.

     

    Ive used CCleaner for years and never seen this until now. Could I be doing something wrong or have the wrong thing checked/unchecked in settings to make this happen?
