Hi and a belated welcome mwayne,

 

even though this forums members, including Moderators, are all volunteers and are not affiliated with Piriform, I think the message @Nergal was trying to imply is "Thanks, but no thanks".

 

this is due to Piriform already having a fully portable version of their product on their website.  http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds

 

How about replacing the CCleaner portable with a PAF version?

... that and UPX compression will remove the signed digital signature of CCleaner.exe, and Piriform doesn't allow repacking/redistribution.

 

I think it's possible to skip the compression for the CCleaner.exe. Other companies also don't allow repacking, but they give PA.c a permission to do so.

Also there used to be a PA version, it may have been pulled if they (PA) were distributing without Piriform's concent.

PortableApp versions are OK, but useless if a program is already portable, such as ccleaner.

wouldn't it be great to have an official portable app of CCleaner?

There is already a portable launcher for CCleaner over [link removed by moderation]

 

Why PortableApps.com Format and a PortableApps.com Installer?

 

Would you give PortableApps.com the permission to repackage and redistribute CCleaner?
