  3. Hi Andavari, I also did as you instructed, but it didnt work.. :(

I recently removed my clamwin av and installed avg, do you think this has relevance?

I am also using portable hard disks sometimes for file transfer, thru USB..

  4. Hi,

I too recommend you to scan for various malware. However, a solution that might work for you is to run these 2 DOS commands:

    C:\>attrib -S -H -R C:\autorun.inf

    C:\>del /F C:\autorun.inf

    then repeat the procedure with:

    D:\>attrib -S -H -R C:\autorun.inf

    D:\>del /F C:\autorun.inf

hi wholdman,, i did the procedure, but it didnt work.. :(

  5. When you right click C or D drive what is the the first option in the right click context menu.

If it's Autoplay instead of Open then it is probably related to malware which will require posting a hijackthis log.

When I right click C, D and "My Documents" the first option is Auto.

How do I get a hijackthis log?

  6. Hello all,

Need help w/ my Windows explorer..

Everytime I open "My Computer" and double click on C drive, D drive or "My Documents",

another window pops, asking what program I want to use to open it..

When I try to open "other's documents" it is running fine..

I am not able to view the contents of C and D drive by double clicking,

I have to right click on it and tick "Explore", to view the files..

Anyone knows how to resolve this? Thanks..

    justin ;)

  7. hey,

this message keeps on popping everytime i start my laptop.

RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

    how do i fix this?

    anyone..

    ??

    Thanks

    justin

  8. My Norton Anti-virus expired, and Im not able to update virus definitions..

I want to try a new anti-virus software, I dont know what to use..

Which one is recommended? Something reliable, or better than Norton.

    Many Thanks,

    justin

  9. Also, after everything is the way you want it, right click on the bar away from any icons>properties>customize>and then behavior. Then set the ones you desire or don't want. Also, enable "Lock the Taskbar" in the main context menu, although I think that may just be for the quick launch items on the left side.

ive already tried clicking it from the start>progams,, there is a msg promt: No local bluetooth device was found.

i also tried to set all the behaviors to "always show" ,, but nothing happened...

is there any connection with start up and system tray?

    anyone? pls,,, :)
