  1. It's built to be a very minimal and fast browser. So there is no support for extensions or themes, no feature to save passwords/login data, etc. It has bookmarks, a bookmarks bar, Clear Private Data, and a few others.

I use a portable version I created in PortableApps.com Format. Runs quite nicely off of my flash drive.

  2. I'm not asking for it to be too aggressive. I just think that TrashReg is a quality program and if I am using the registry cleaner in CCleaner, then there should be no reason why I should also have to run TrashReg in order to clean the null entries that CCleaner missed.

The main function of RTKF is to allow the removal of unnecessary keys from the Windows Registry. Many programs leave keys in the Registry, even after programs removal using an uninstallation facility provided with the programs themselves.
  3. There are only two registry cleaners that I trust and use: CCleaner and TrashReg (a.k.a. Registry Trash Keys Finder)

Every time I use the Registry Cleaner in CCleaner, it seems TrashReg always finds entries that CCleaner has missed. Why is this? I think CCleaner should incorporate the same cleaning methods that TrashReg uses because then I feel like CCleaner would "cover all bases".

  4. They did. I'm not 100% savvy about this kind of thing. I just know that 360 Browser does not show up in the cleaning options in CCleaner. I'm told that the browser is based on an older version of Chrome. Just thought it might be helpful to mention that SpeedyFox recognizes the profile folder as Opera.

  5. Please add support for cleaning and optimizing of 360 Browser More information can be found here.

It is a Chrome-based browser but when I use SpeedyFox to optimize the profile folder, it is reported as an Opera-based browser. Just thought that information would be helpful.

  6. both are already supported by their parent entry (dragon via google chrome in ccleaner and I believe ice dragon is already covered by Mozilla/Firefox entry)

Not according to my CCleaner. I have Google Chrome and Comodo IceDragon installed. Chrome appears fine in CCleaner's list but IceDragon does not. I think it is because Dragon/IceDragon save their profile settings in a different directory (as I posted above) than Chrome/Firefox do.
  7. I won't use Comodo software for one reason only and that being everything I've tried just won't uninstall properly and leaves most of everything behind making it damned difficult to remove especially stuff that still registered in the Windows Registry.

You should try an uninstall program such as IObit Uninstaller or Revo Uninstaller (both freeware)

Also, see here. Uninstaller Tool for Comodo Products

If that doesn't help, check the other threads in that forum.

  8. COMODO Firewall has long been considered one of the best free firewalls you can get. The only real downfall is the download size, but the program uses little system resources so that is a plus. As for reliability, I can't justify one way or the other. I've used the program in the past but this was a few versions back. I'm sure it's still an excellent choice and if you can't decide which antivirus program to run alongside it, go grab COMODO Internet Security

  9. Absolutely love the simplicity of Binisoft Windows Firewall Control. Perfectly integrates into the Windows 7 Firewall. I use a custom HOSTS file, immunization from Spybot-S&D and SpywareBlaster and then OpenDNS for extra sexurity.

PC Tools Firewall Plus.is an excellent choice as well. That's what I use on my Windows XP machine.

  10. Revo is an excellent program but can cause problems if used by newbies because it can sometimes report unrelated items after an uninstallation and removing those items will cause other programs to malfunction. It's best to be safe and only use the built-in uninstaller, in my personal opinion. Just speaking from past experience with Revo Uninstaller, IObit Uninstaller, Your Uninstaller! and Total Uninstall.

  11. Would be nice if you could add the ability to checkmark programs listed in the uninstall tool. The user could select multiple items, click Uninstall and after one uninstall completes, the next one automatically begins. An example of this can be seen in the program IObit Uninstaller. This would be useful for those who use the portable version on others' computers and use it to remove crapware such as toolbars and pre-installed bloatware.
