In Speccy's "Operating System" section, Windows 10 specific version and System Folders don't show correctly.
I needed to know which specific version of Win 10 I was using and tried "Control Panel > System" but it says only "Windows 10 Pro 64-bit". So, I thought "of course, Speccy will know". Alas, Speccy only says: "Windows 10 Pro 64-bit" as well. I then tried DXDiag and got differing results. DxDiag 32-bit says "Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (build 6.2, build 9200)", while DxDiag 64-bit says "Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, build 14393)". Finally, rumbled about in the Windows accessories and I found that System Information shows "Version 10.0.14393, Build 14393".... but is it correct?
Further problem: again in the "Operating System" section, System Folders only shows the OEM locations. I have several hard drives and things like Documents, Pictures, Videos, and Music are changed to D:, E:, G: and H: drives. Speccy isn't Showing the location updates.

I just decided to do a hard copy print out some of my Speccy 2.29.714 (64-bit) results. I really only wanted the Summary, CPU and Storage info. Using the "File > Print" menu, I quickly found there are no options to individually print these "departments" (my term). Further, when the print options window appears I find Speccy has not provided any info to Windows 10 to show a print preview or how many pages would be printed, so I can't identify or specify, say, pages 10-16. The only option ever presented at this point is to print "current page".
Just to see how extensive or concise the readout was I did a simple "print" and received 64 pages in 14 point Ariel! It would be very helpful to be able to specify the size of the font in such a case. Not a few people beyond myself will be wasting alot of paper.
This being a bit excessive, I then tried the only print option for "current page" on the Storage results. "Current page" turned out to be the entire Storage result of 12 pages, not just the part I was viewing or the amount that fit on an 8.5 x 11 page starting at where I was viewing. Again, no print preview option. While this was part of what I originally wanted, this still exposes the print process as somewhat misleading.
At the very least, some explanation in the print window would be a good idea and expanded options much better. Thank you.

Before getting started with my bug report I would like to say how much I've enjoyed and appreciated Speccy for the past 5-odd years. Please keep up the fine work.
I have Speccy 2.29.714 (64-bit) installed this month and it also reports my 2TB Hitachi drive erroneously. I have another Hitachi HDS721050CLA660 on another machine and it is also giving back same readout. Unless these drives are reporting themselves incorrectly Speccy needs some adjustment.
Further, Speccy does not specify PATA drives. It calls them (ATA), which seems to me very generic as all drives are reported as an "ATA Device" just previously on same line. PATA and SATA are different iterations of ATA and should be reported correctly.
The items I consider errors are in RED.

After the usual hard drive cleanup of my little XP notepad, I noted the Windows folder was still pretty big. So... using Glary Utils: Disk Space Analyzer, I discovered that 64% of my WinXP folder and nearly half of my 16gb SSD was held in the Installer folder. A bit of sleuthing indicated that many of these installers may be orphaned. DSIM++ wasn't showing up in my searches, so thanks for that. Some others had tried some rather old programs to clean them out... but had no way of acurately knowing if the removal was good or bad, beyond the simple saving of space. It looks like a real opportunity for you to help those with small drives free up some space. I REALLY hope you can come up with a good utility to add to your current lineup or add to Glary Utilities.
(PS: Don't rag me for still using XP. I'm tired of it. XP works and I like how it works. I use proper protection ware and that works too. No damage or infections in 5-6 years. Only other choice is a Linux install might fit on this little thing... if, if, if they like each other. And then I have to like it.)

Hi Speccy Fans!!
I enjoy your great utils often and just came up with a possible option for Speccy. Note that in NO way do I want you to change the way Speccy presents info currently. This idea is strictly an add-on to clarify the relationships and parameters of the computer components to each other in a simple graphic form. A button on the menu bar would bring it up.
Here's my vision of this graphic, possibly running in near real time if you can make it happen:
It's very similar to the bottom half of an "hourglass" family tree and each relevant component is represented by a box with a label in it. The CPU(s) is/are at the top or left side (depending on the orienation you choose) and speed(s) is/are shown in the box(es). Lines run to all caches downstream. Boxes for each in relation to each other and the speeds to them are shown. Then FSB and BSB, Motherboard controler, RAM sticks, card slots, USB and 1394 buses, etc. are in their places down/across the tree with speeds for each as well. If there are other parameters or findings, like temperature or errors, these can also be shown in the boxes or connection lines.
In this way all component relationships are easily related to each other. I'm sure you have seen a graphic similar to this in PC Magazine (etc) when describing motherboard architectures for years. I'm just thinking you can make it "real" to us by adding the results of Speccy's calculations to each component (I mean, have you counted how many different types of bus speed Speccy displays? It's a little confusing to some of us how they all relate!). It could really help the less-than-uber-techie with diagnosing problems like mis-matched RAM sticks or CPU's.
Finally, to be able to save the graphic as a JPG would be very cool!!

Large hard drives report incorrect size
in Speccy

No, the Hitachi is a 2 TB drive and is reporting as 200 GB in the summary. I just updated to Speccy 1.30.740 from 1.29.
