You can use a bootdisk if you have a floppy. You can get a bootdisk from http://www.bootdisk.com
You can also use a Linux LiveCD for example, etc.
I would suggest Hiren's bootCD.
Last time I saw it it was available at:

Not quite sure how you can download it if your computer is dead?

This is quite a comprehensive site with lots of info and sub pages, and lots of little known apps mentioned, a good read I think especially for those of you with an interest in this subject.
Thanks for your input, there is a lot of very useful info on that site.

Yeah, I ran folding@home for a little while, but I noticed that it had some bugs, not to mention, my computer really wasn't very helpful to their network, due to its speed, or lack there of. Plus, my fans always freak out when I run it, even at low idle.
I know, shame on me.
If you believe anything the BBC says or puts on their web site you must be a retired 1960s hippie or a left wing crazy who believes in the tooth fairy.

On the home page it says 'Last updated on 28th February 2006 New'
The latest download I can find is v1.27.260 dated 14 February
Anybody know what the 28 February update is?

Thanks for your quick reply.
I tried everything you suggested but it makes no difference, the open recent box still lists all my viewed files.

Have just installed new version 1.27.260
It still does not clear the recent files in Adobe Photoshop CS2 even though the promotion for the program says it does.
I would suggest the program writers try it before issuing false advertising.
Other than this the program is excellent.

Is the "Adobe Photoshop CS" checkbox under the Applications tab checked? I just viewed the winapp.ini file, and Adobe Photoshop 6-9 (CS 2) are supported, including CS.
If that box is already checked, uncheck it, click Run Cleaner, then check it again, Run Cleaner again, and see if that solves your problem.

I have version 1.27.255 (Beta) installed
My recent items in Adobe Photoshop CS are not cleared after using CCleaner

v1.28.277 Photoshop CS2 still not cleaning
in CCleaner Bug Reporting

It might be a new version & bugs might be fixed but it still does not clear the "Open Recent" in Adobe Photoshop CS2.
If it was not advertised as an option or if they said it was a bug that would be fixed in a later release I would be happy but now I think it is just a con.
