  1. I also have CCleaner with WINXP SP3 and all updates. I downloaded the latest version to my Desktop (I send that to a Flash Drive), remove the older version and install the latest version 3.04.1389 and it went smooth. I don't like to put a newer version over an older version. Some of my items will remove the older version or update to a newer version but I do not see a necessity for anything from piriform, I don't touch Comodo Internet Security but lavasoft also has antivirus engine that I uncheck but the following updates to a newer version: 1] Adobe Reader 2] Malwarebytes' AntiMalware and 3] SuperAntiSpyware.

  2. :)

What I did on Windows XP, was the following first: Start to Control Panel to open System to Tab on System Restore to reduce the number of restore points. I have an 80 GB HDD and it is set to 1095 MB than the maxiumum. Then turn off System Restore. when it says:"Turned Off" uncheck the box to turn it back on. [You can create a new restore point to remove any items already deleted]. The I run Wipe & I will see only 2 boxes for MFT - the rest are cleaned out, sometimes my drive was 81% and now, 84-6%. I love Defraggler but I use CCleaner first. :D

  3. I had my flash drive [Fat32] put into a folder to be burned, NERO Burnlite 10 only read folders. I transferred all from that to a DVD+RW. Can I now erase the flashdrive?

  4. there are only a limited number of times you can read & write to a flash drive ... defragging shortens the lifespan of flash memory drives & isn't necessary due to the way files are saved on them

I have put all from the flashdrive into a folder on the desktop  It had to be done this way since NERO free BurnLite 10 did not recognize other items in it :(

But I have successfully put all onto a DVD+RW :) Now, I will have to see in another forum CCleaner v3.0.1310 and ask if it the flash drive can be wiped clean.

Thanks to the Mod, Nergal for that info as well as you, barky.

  5. don't defrag flash drives, it kills them.

to defrag flash drives (including mobile phones, ipods etc) cut everything from the drive, paste it to the desktop, and the cut and paste it back to the drive

Also we do not allow having two accounts. might I ask the reasoning behind making two accounts?

I only use one account - not two a I am listed now as darclew7. I have not run into any problem with defragging a 8GB Flash Drive. Though the only way I can speed it up is to remove items not needed [sP3] and I have two items I put on my desktop NERO-10.0.13100(dot)exe and it's registration no., and delete them in the flashrive, they go in well after Defrag.

  6. I hve been using the latest and the prior build was the same. Can the wipe be split into Free MFT Space and another created to Wipe Free Space? The first time it does take a long time, it can be speeded up to have only Free MFT Space to cleanup
