  1. Hello

I'm using the latest and greatest Speccy (1.30.730). I just wanted to testify that infos returned by Speccy about the health of a hard drive just isn't reliable.

I currently have a hard disk that's dying, as reported by CrystalDiskInfo and confirmed by worrying sounds. Thankfully, I have a backup and could still copy files out of the drive while it's still OK.

I'm surprised those two apps don't agree, though, since they both read S.M.A.R.T. data off the hard drive.

    Cheers,

  2. Hello

Maybe this suggestion has already been made: It'd be useful to use Speccy as a library from an application, ideally a .Net-based solution so that it's usable by both VB.Net and C#, but a standard C-based DLL would be OK too.

    My .15?.

  3. Hello

Someone just recommended Speccy to check what hardware users have, and it seems like a very nice application.

There are a couple of things, though, that I also need:

    - Report whether they have the .Net framework installed, and in which version

    - Can Speccy run OK without admin rights?

    - Is there a way to customize the File > Publish option so users can upload the results to my own remote web or mail server instead of Piriform's?

The goal is to investigate possible hardware-related issues when they call support.

    Thank you.
