  1. oft discussed next time search the forum before asking a question

Many programs (besides internet explorer) use internet explorer as a render engine, it is impossible to remove that part of ie and that is where those files come from (short version ;))

ok thanks,so internet explorer is not on my pc though..

  2. You are going to have to give more information such as operating system used, version of ccleaner and what you actually say you uninstalled... Internet Explorer?

yeah what Im saying is,with no internet explorer, why do I have so many explorer temp files still, and others ?

win 7 I use firefox and the latest ccleaner

  3. Aqua has a point - if you're using XP, IE is tightly integrated so if you "remove" it it will go back to the slow, old, buggy, and insecure IE6.

I have windows 7,as far as I can see explorer is gone..

  4. Many programs use the Internet explorer as a integrated part of their operation. You can usually figure out what apps your are using that are doing this by looking at the results of the iexplore cache.

I deleted explorer from pc, can I tell from looking at the results of the CC scan ? thanks for the reply..
