  1. First well done with the screenshots :)

There has to be a space after the words Defraggler.exe and the /debug

Hi, hazelnut! Thanks for teaching me the works. After putting in the missing space, it worked perfectly. I then went and had a look at the log file which was produced, which causes me to tell you that I regret being unable to post that log file here. This log lists the files on my drive by name, and since many of those file names reveal the contents of the file, posting the log in a public forum would compromise my privacy. I hope for your understanding.

  2. If you look at the link I gave it tells you how to run it in debug mode. Then just attach the logs in a post.

You can either upload the screenshots to an image hosting site and put the link to it in a post or just upload them to the forum but they must be in jpg or png format not bitmap.

Here is a screenshot showing how to do this.

You will not be able to see the screenshot until it is posted on the forum

I have tried your suggestions and it was a complete disaster. First I did another screenshot because you wanted it in .jpg format. No problem with that. But then I tried to run Defraggler in debug mode, and although I faithfully followed the instructions in the link you provided me, it did not work at all. I have attached screenshots of what I typed after I opened "Run", and what kind of error message I got after clicking OK. Please note that the complete path was suggested by Windows itself each time I typed in a backslash. So I have no idea what went wrong.post-35694-1267029898_thumb.jpgpost-35694-1267029991_thumb.jpg[

... and I did try again several times - with the same result!

Okay, I will give it a try.

  4. Could you run in debug mode and attach the log in a post so the developers can see it.

Thanks for your attention to my problem. However, please excuse my ignorance. How do I get to debug mode? I have, however, prepared two screenshots of Defraggler's error message, which I can send you if you give me an email address to send it to. I noticed from this page that I am not the only user suffering from this problem, which had never occurred in the past. So maybe it's a new bug which crept in during the last update?

  5. Is your drive's name appearing in blue in Windows Explorer ?

Thanks for attending to my problem. In my original post I neglected to mention that I am using Windows 7 operating system. Yes, of course the drive's name turns blue whenever I hover over it with my mouse pointer, but so does any other drive name. I have prepared a couple of screenshots of Defraggler's error message, which I will gladly send you if you provide me with an email address to send it to.

  6. Recently it happens almost daily that when I defragment my drive F, which has a capacity of 66 GB, of which only 3.9 GB are used, and the size of the largest file thereon being only 34 MB, Defraggler stops defragmentation almost immediately and reports, "Defrag aborted, Reason: The disk is full!"

This is obviously incorrect, and I have no idea what is causing the problem. Can anyone please help?
