Thx for the tip - I must have not been thinking. Found it, added it.

Hi,
There is a Symantec Temporary File folder located in C:\ProgramData\Symantec Temporary Files under the Windows 7 file structure. It would be nice to include this location to be cleaned by CCleaner.
Version of Norton used Norton 360 v3.0
Windows 7

Hi Hazelnut,
I am experiencing the same issue. I ran ccleaner, I have System Files - temp files set to delete. I ran it, and nothing got deleted. I then rebooted, since I read on a different threat that when a file cannot be deleted it is set to delete on next reboot. I rebooted and nothing happened. Unless I'm supposed to check mark that option, but I cannot find anywhere that says, "Delete on reboot". I am checking the following location C:\DOCUME~1\username\LOCALS~1\Temp
several files with the extension .tmp and a messenger cache folder is still sitting there. Not to long ago I installed a new HDD, so I know my Windows is free of issues since I haven't installed anything or unistalled anything of the normal use. I noticed this has been the case in previous versions as well.
OS: Win XP SP3
CCleaner v2.22.968
Disregard this, silly of me. I had the don't delete files older than 48hrs selected. I removed it, took some files out, rebooted and now they are all gone. CCleaner is on top of it's game.

Can you give more info please. Such as operating system and version of ccleaner used.
You are taking only about the cleaner and not the registry (issues) scan aren't you?
What are the sort of items seem to be listed most that are being left?

CCleaner does detect flash cookies. See this thread for an explanation Flash cookies
Hi Glenn,
I looked over the thread and it looks like I have to add the folder to ccleaner, is that correct?

It would be a good idea to include flash cookie detection. Found this article on the web about how flash cookies can now be used to track a user. I'm not sure if ccleaner detects these or not.
thank you for your time.
100% CPU usage on startup

Hi, I just noticed when opening ccleaner it is using 100% CPU to start up, it lasts for about 10secs. This is annoying because it makes the CPU fan speed and if you have a loud one like I got, it becomes annoying.
System setup:
Acer Laptop - TravelMate 804LMi
CPU: Pentium M (centrino) 1700Mhz
RAM: 2GB
OS: Windows 7 x86
