I cannot download newest version of Java to XP. (error workaround is dicey at best). If I use CCLEANER to uninstall ALL older updates Runtime Environments etc. will I then be able to go to Sun website and download most recent version?

Are you using IE8? The 5mb belongs to "Suggested Sites" in "Internet Properties\Advanced".

 

Uncheck that box and it should clear.

Love the new version. But when I clean, 5mb left behind until I uncheck Temp Files box and re analyse and re run cleaner. Any way to find out which TEMPFILE is not being cleaned?
