  1. There is an issue I am facing when it comes to the Documents folder, is %documents% a valid environment variable in CCleaner? As it's not in Windows 8.1. Therefore %Documents%\Visual Studio 2012 and such like are not destroyed as one would expect.

    Edit: Strange, now it works!

  3. I'll just remove it in the next version.

FWIW i haven't experienced this though

I believe you, though I'm wondering why other people haven't come forward. Thanks for removing.

Cheers for maintaining it for the last 3 years. I've been using this since 2008 when it was first introduced.

  4. What exactly is it doing to your windows 7 CCleaner_Fan?

Folder icons are missing text labels after hibernation or a certain period of time, so I have to restart explorer.exe. I can tell you this didn't happen when I took the advice saad2011 or the previous version of winapp2,ini.
  5. I don't think Minefield will be supported because it's not meant to be used by the general public but more so for the testers of this world. And it uses the same structure as Firefox, unless they have radically changed their profile system. Perhaps a Winapp2.ini entry could be made for the detection of Minefield installed on the system.

  6. This is good program but I was wondering if I could make a request? How easy would it be to turn this into a Portable application (I don't mean PortableApps.com) but whereby a .zip or an extraction process can be utilised with settings being saved in the Winapp2.ini Software directory and no RegKeys being created. I am not a coder with VB .NET but use other programming languages so I don't know how easy this would be to achieve.

  7. It cleans both Windows and Applications but doesn't touch the Registry cleaner for obvious reasons. To confirm run via CLI and then double click on the icon in the task and watch the CCleaner progress, if your running Opera as a browser and you have this selected to be clean you will see your porfile being cleaned (as an example!)

  8. I think what they are looking for can be done via winapp2.ini but requires knowing what RegKeys to use. It's off topic but I would recommend the following:

Description: DriveCleanup removes all currently non present "Storage Volumes", "Disk", "CDROM", "Floppy" USB drives and their USB devices from the device tree. Furthermore it removes orphaned registry items related to these device types.

Started with parameter -T (like test) it shows which devices it would remove. Started without a parameter, it does its job without further inquiry.

    Writes settings to: Application folder

How to extract: Download the ZIP package and extract to a folder of your choice. Launch DriveCleanup.exe.

    System Requirements: WinXP / Vista / 7

    Download: http://www.uwe-sieber.de/drivetools_e.html

  9. So this is my contribution to the greatest British Company in the Universe :)

I have searched high and low for an addition to winapp2.ini but to no luck, so hopefully this will help. I looked at the internal ini files (no luck) and then looked at the legacy Opera in winapp2.ini. I then did a before and after shot (System Explorer 1.5) of the inbuilt Opera cleaner and this was my final result.

These keys are for normal Opera due to the fact CCleaner misses these directories, I don't know how important it will effect your browsing, but mine seems fine!

*I was going to add Spotify (Swedish design) but I don't see the point as most users are happy for this information to be retained.

Please edit this post if you feel changes need to be made, or alternatively just show you appreciation by saluting Piriform!!! :)

This might be my first post but I have been using CCleaner since the days of 1.37.456, but more so the portable version that was built by another user on portableapps.com. Thankfully Piriform jumped on the band wagon and made version 2 natively portable, which stopped the frequent errors I was receiving.
