That's the thing though, if you want support for newer browser versions (not just Google Chrome) you're going to need to update CCleaner. The dev team will often update the cleaning routines if a browser changes something.
Thank you. I have now found that to be the case. My version of CCleaner does now support Chrome. Peace and thanks!

It already does support Chrome : http://www.ccleaner.com/ see the "cleans the following" section,
If your having issues you should probably mention the Chrome version you are running.
and which version of windows as well, that way other uses can post suggestions and the Dev's can investigate.
note: I did see a previous poster mention a similar issue, most likely the recent Chrome release changed where it stores itself and CC cant "see" it.
Thanks for the advice. I'm using Windows XP Pro (IE6) and the version of Google Chrome is 3.0.195.27. CCleaner is V2.21.940. Thanks for your help.

I'm a newbie. If I use secure file deletion can I still use the area of my hard drive that has been affected? If I understand correctly this mode of CCleaner deletes and then over writes these areas so data is unrecoverable. So is it still usable?

Howto erase not needed languages from CCleaner

Hi,
I have the latest version of the program. In the previous version you could locate a list of all supported languages in its program folder listed by language. To conserve disk space I would erase all but the one I needed. In the new version one can see the many languages in the folder but they are no longer listed by individual language. This makes it impossible to erase unneeded languages because I cannot isolate the only one that I do need. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks and peace!
