Hi Login123.
It's not a problem I have experienced until testing defraggler, up until now I have used JkDefrag with no problems. I'm afraid programs that are even suspected of trashing a hard disk are quickly removed from my system (except for XP ). Back to JkDefrag for me with the excellent JkDefragGUI interface. Sorry Piriform, but not up to your usual standard.

Hi,
I missed this post, but I've just had a very similar experience.
I'm just reformatting my hard drive (to return it to NTFS and then I'm about to try a data recovery program.
I'll let you know how I get on!!

Windows XP SP3
After defragmenting some smaller USB drives (40 & 80GB) I decided to test out something bigger a 250GB USB disk (41000 files)
After defrag was reported as complete, Exit defraggler, Ok. Reboot system, ok.
The disk then fails to be recognised, after power-cycling the disk XP reports this as a RAW drive (was NTFS in it's previous life).
Any-one else had the same?

I am just wondering how you can be so sure that these issues cannot be caused by Defraggler. Call me paranoid, but is there something you are not telling us ?
