  1. I have done everything suggested and no matter what i do the Emails keep coming.

Does ANYBODY know how to stop these emails from coming from THE LOUNGE???????

I can't stop them from comming

  2. Check to see what settings you have in the following screenshot.

In your Control area, go to "Email Settings\Options", and either uncheck all the boxes, and if that doesn't work, check the last box and select "No Email Notification".

Make sure you press the "Amend My Email Settings" button.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks I will try that again.

  3. I have tried and tried to unsubscribe. I have followed these instructions:

You can unsubscribe at any time by logging into your control panel and clicking on the "View Forums" link.

If you are not subscribed to any forums and wish to stop receiving notification, uncheck the setting

"Send me any updates sent by the board administrator" found in 'My Controls' under 'Email Settings'.

but no matter what I do the emails just keep on coming.

    Can someone help me please????

  4. I can't find out how to unsubscribe from The Lounge. I tried the Help but it did not give any answer. I followed the following instructions to stop getting emails from The lounge but nothing seems to work.

I still keep getting the emails?

  5. First. Don't post your emails. You never know when a spammer comes around.

Second. This should be in the CCleaner Forum. Not the Lounge.

    Third. I can help you.

Log in to your email. Once you have done both and closed both of your browsers, open CCleaner. Click the Options box on the left, then the Cookies Box. Find all cookies related to your email pages. Select them individually and click the arrow to move them over to the Cookies to Keep side. Once you do that, you should be able to run CCleaner and not get logged out.

    Thank You

  6. When I use CCC it logs me out from both FireFox & IE7 and I have to sign in again even though I check the boxs to keep me logged in for 2 weeks or more. I think I have to uncheck something in 1 of the box's in CCC but I do not know which box to uncheck. I hope this makes sense ,I am not very good at explaining things and I am a PC DUMMY!!

I use Firefox as my main home page

I set things up this way to keep from having to sign in and out every time I want to go from one site to the other. But running CCC defeats this and I have to sign in anyway.

    Thanks for any help.

  7. The invalid entrys are removed. Registry items are often left behind after uninstall using m$ built in uninstaller.

They are now obsolete and not needed which can slow a computer down. Obviously when ever removing entrys from the registry you should always check the entry and create a System Restore point.

Thank You for answering. I think I am understanding that when i click (Fix selected issuses) it will not put all the issuses back -Undoing all I have done to remove them manually. I will give it a try and see what happens.

  8. I have done a manual uninstall on a WinDVR3 program, in an attempt to try to install it again. when I click on registery clean it brings up a lot of stuff that i think i deleted from the registery. what happrns when I click on (fix selected issues)? does it add all the things I took off, back on again???. If so then i could not do a cleac install. So far I have not been able to reinstall the program, no matter what i do.

I am at a compleat loss.

Can someone PLEASE help me whith this, All I want to know is:

what happens when i click (fix selected issuses) on registery clean. does it remove the things i have put there when i did a manual uninstall "or' does it add them all back an undo all I have done??

  10. Hello rburrhead,

    Welcome to the forums. :)

I am not sure what is going on with your Notebook program.

CCleaner will remove the Shortcut if you have the option ticked at Cleaner > Windows tab > System list >

Start Menu Shortcuts Or Desktop Shortcuts . It will remove the shortcut only if the shortcut points to a program that no longer exists. That is all that should be removed and only if the program is missing.

Untick both those shortcut cleaning options and let us know what happens.

    :) davey

    Thanks for answering my post.

The Program still is there in Notebook? I copied it to Wordpad and it seems to be working. However I did uncheck Desktop shortcuts (Again) I guess it came back when I used SYS. Restore?

I never have unchecked start menu before but i will do that to.

    Thanks again

  11. After this last update CCC removes a Notebook shortcut and ALL files it was related to (There gone) from my PC. I went back 1 day with SYS. Restor. and tried again and it was removed again. no other shortcuts were bothered. I made a copy from my EX. Hard drive and tried again but I get a message that the program that the shortcut points to does not exist and i should delete the shortcut????

I never had this problem with the older VER.
