  5. Actually your English is tons better than my computer aided French ;)

This sounds to be a ghost cookie issue (cookies staying listed in the cookies to delete column even though the physical cookies have been removed). Usually a reboot of the machine clears this and (also) there have been some recent reports that unchecking index.dat files, in the internet explorer section, before a clean seems to cause the cookies not to appear.

The developers are actively looking into this issue.

(Here comes my bad french translation)

Traduction in English : it seems that there is a problem in CCleaner which, for deleting utilisation traces of OOO, delete the file ''Common.xcu'' instad of ''Histories.xcu'' in that fact when we connect to OpenOffice.org it keep saying if we whether want to registry or no. Which is pretty embarassing ''ennoying'' sorry for my English, i am French ! thanks and kind regards.

  13. d?d?, I prefer not to let those cookies onto my system in the first place by using a HOSTS file.

    HOSTS files I use:

    http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

  15. I use Vista Premium 32. My browsers are IE7 and Mozilla. I have used CCleaner for a number of years and this is the first time I have had a problem. Yesterday I was told there was a new version, which I downloaded and I now notice that certain cookies I want deleted stay. On going back to the previous version everything works OK.

I have read through the various threads on this subject and have completely uninstalled, downloaded again reinstalled and still get the same problem so I have gone back to the previous version. Is there any suggestions on how to overcome this problem?

    David

I have got the same problem and also unable to ?rase 10 cookies with this new version i.e V2.12.651 so since nobody can help i went back to the former version i.e V2.11.636 and i have no more problem. Afraid i will wait for another new version before changing.

  16. There are 7 cookies in the left column of Options/Cookies. Running Cleaner does not delete them nor does Analyze indicate they are there. This has worked flawlessly in the past. Recently updated to V 2.12.651.

    Hello,

I have the same problems, 10 cookies that i cannot delete so i cancelled the newest V2.12.651 and changed to the former one V2.11.636 and all working OK with this version so i will keep this one until they are able to fix this problem.(sorry for my English, i am French)

  17. I am using the latest one i.e V2.12.651 so i returned to the former one V2.11.636 and all cookies as disappeared so until further notice i will keep this one instead unless somebody can help me to solve the problem.

    Oops navigator is IE7

  18. Which Browser (and version) are you using?

    Quel navigateur (et version) utilisez-vous?

I am using the latest one i.e V2.12.651 so i returned to the former one V2.11.636 and all cookies as disappeared so until further notice i will keep this one instead unless somebody can help me to solve the problem.

  19. Bonjour, good morning,
