I've been using Defraggler for about 6 months now, and seeing as i was here to download the newest RC, i just want to congratulate you on the fantastic job. I'm using this as the ultimate solution on 4 vista computers that miss the old XP defragger, and this is quick, effective and just fantastic. Thanks a lot and keep em coming

[Registry Backup - File type listed as File]

I just started using the registry backup and only deleated the registry items I thought I knew I didn't need

 

Created a backup and when i went to look at it, the file type on it was File?

 

I added .reg to the end and it seems to be right, but is this still safe to restore if need be?

 

Also, if not how can I remove the .reg ending?

 

i had exactly the same thing happen with version 2.0. must be a bug of some kind. i hope it can be fixed soon.

[start menu shortcuts and desktop shortcuts?]

hi. i downloaded the new CCleaner 2.0 today, and i notice in the "cleaner" portion of the new version it has an option under "System" for "desktop shortcuts and start menu shortcuts". what exactly does this new option do? i am not familiar with it, since it appears to be new in this version. i don't want CCleaner deleting something it shouldn't!
