Can anyone explain in simple terms what the LSP Explorer & HexDump Add-ons in Ad Aware do and how to use them?
Layered Service Providers (LSP) are small pieces of software that can be added or inserted into the Windows TCP/IP stack by other software. Data outward bound from your computer to a legitimate destination on the Internet can be intercepted by an LSP and sent somewhere other than where you intend it to go. LSP Explorer lets you view active LSP and Name Service Providers on your system, along with detailed information about each so you can determine whether or not they are legitimate. Access LSP Explorer can be run directly from the Ad-Aware SE add-ons menu. LSP Explorer is part of the Ad-Aware SE add-ons package and works with all versions of Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE.
