Miroku4444
I just installed the latest CCleaner (2.29.1111), and noticed a different install behavior. I checked off all the options i wanted like no automatic updates, no ccleaner in the recycle bin, no yahoo tool bar, etc.. Then i hit install and it poped up a firewall warning. The install file was trying to connect to the internet. The install progress window said something about updates. I don't understand if i unchecked automatic updates, why is it trying to connect to the internet? I don't think this ever happen before?
Admin MrG Posted February 25, 2010 Admin Share Posted February 25, 2010 We've added a quick check during the install process to make sure users are installing the latest version. This will help reduce our workload when people report bugs for old versions that have already been fixed Piriform.com - [CCleaner - Defraggler - Recuva - Speccy]

So, if i was installing an old version it would let me know there's a newer version available. Would it let me still install the old version? Admin MrG Posted February 26, 2010 Admin Share Posted February 26, 2010 Yes we'd never prevent users from installing old version, but we'd just suggest the newest one. Piriform.com - [CCleaner - Defraggler - Recuva - Speccy]
