You Now Have the Latest Version of CCleaner

Hello. I have CCleaner Pro (paid version). Since the update to version 7, CCleaner starts up itself almost daily to tell me “I have the latest version of CCleaner”. I cannot seem to disable this popup, even when I uncheck almost every option (e.g., auto-startup).

I have uninstalled CCleaner altogether for now. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I get the same with my free version and it’s darned annoying. No way to turn it off. Like you I’m close to uninstalling CCleaner because there’s no reason for it to keep popping up at the same time every day. :enraged_face:

Please follow these steps to help us investigate the issue:

  1. Replicate the issue on your end.

  2. In CCleaner, scroll to the bottom of the left-hand menu and click Help.

  3. Select CCleaner Support Tool from the options.

  4. Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool.

  5. Once installed, run the tool to generate the logs.

  6. At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.

  7. Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.

Hi Laurence. Thank you, just waiting for the issue to reoccur and then I will follow your instructions and respond.

I had uninstalled the programme, but have reinstalled it to see if it happens again. If it does will follow the instructions and let you know.

Also have this issue. Daily.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled the application and the issue has not recurred so far.

I did install the programme again and nothing happened for a few days. Then just a little while ago it came up again saying that I have the latest version of CCleaner (v7.3). I went to the help as instructed, but all that did was send me to your help centre on the website. When I searched there for CCleaner support tool the article tells me it only applies to version 6 and not 7. So what to do now?

Laurence gave some instructions at the top of this conversation. It would be great if you could follow them so he can diagnose the issue. I am worried my issue will return at some point.

I tried, but the help only took me to their Help Centre as I said. No way to download the Support Tool for v7, it only works with v6 according to the article I found in the Help Centre.

I don’t have that. I have the free version of CCleaner. I just get directed to the help centre.

Let’s hope the issue can be resolved with my upload.
