hi i`m new too... having a little trouble finding my way 1st time.. I hope this is right area for my 1st post...i use yahoo messenger to chat with friends, i dont save chat to archive, i check the box that says "no,dont save any of my messages"...when I clean with CCleaner will that remove that chat from my hard drive... or isnt it the kind of thing that will be saved on hard drive..... does it just disappear... when CCleaner is activated.....hoping you can help thank you

This is a "extra" good question. Actually they are all good.

As far as CCleaner goes, if you use some other program to delete the messages then CCleaner doesn't know anything about them.
I am not a chatter so I don't have any details to give you.
Most files that were recently created and then deleted by any method are overwritten very soon by newer files.
You can use Piriform' Recuva program to overwrite all old deleted files once a month or so. I do in case I forget some "banking " information or such. It runs very quickly. One (1) overwrite is sufficient.
It not only can be used to "recover" deleted files but can also be used to "overwrite" deleted files as well.
