Windows Live Messenger deactivated
Despite these settings, since version 3.12 , the parameters of access to Windows Live Messenger are cleared. Why?
More specifically, when Windows Live Messenger restarts after cleaning with CCleaner, your username and password are empty.

Are they empty in browser or in the software? Weird, because I've selected almost every entry and never lost my Windows Live Messenger username+password.
Also, please state your Windows version & whether it is 32 or 64 Bit.
Sometimes there are problems under 7 that do not exist under XP, same for the Bits.

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 32 bit and Windows XP HE SP2 32 bit.
This problem occurs on both systems.
In the Applications tab, menù "Internet", the option "Windows Live Messenger" is disabled, then the cleaning must not be performed.
But where is the same option in other menus?
In the Windows tab, menù "Internet Explorer", the option "Saved passwords" is checked, could depend on this?
But until the version 3.11, this is not happening...
I think Microsoft no longer support XP + SP2,
and SP3 has only a short lifetime to go.
By not using SP3 you are more open to malware,
and it is quite possible that Microsoft applications (e.g. Windows Live Messenger) may malfunction.
Possibly CCleaner 3.16 is not so compatible as 3.11 with a malfunctioning W.L.M. and an unsupported operating System.
Do you use Winapp2.ini ?
I find that it provides these check-boxes that might be related

[Windows Live Messenger More*]
[Windows Live OneCare*]
[Windows Live Setup Logs*]
Adobe Flash Cookies are another possible cause.
Also which version of Windows Live Messenger are you using?
Windows Live Messenger functions correctly.
If I don't exec the cleaning function, the next time Windows Live Messenger starts I see the username used during the last connection.
