Man, would be great if the creators of winapp2.ini would create a small program that literally just has the custom clean section & secure delete recycle bin. That's all I need from these bloated 'cleaner' programs. I bet they'd do it right.

Then you would be lacking all the cleaning from the regular program and would need a winapp3 to clean all the stuff winapp2 then missed ?

There are a couple of issues in [Firefox Caches *] that should be corrected.
1. Basilisk Browser %AppData% entries are still missing.
see:
2. The more important issue is the \Profiles\*\security_state|* entries in [Firefox Caches *]
The security_state folders hold the crlite files that Firefox based browsers download that are used for checking security certificates in addition to the OCSP checks. The files in this folder do not contain any user data. The files contain the data downloaded from Mozilla with the certificate revocation entries. The files will eventually be recreated if deleted, but this can take a long time depending on if dom.push.enabled is true or false. If Push is disabled, then the default polling interval is 24 hours and it can take much longer in practice, and during this time, this browsing protection is unavailable and you rely on OCSP (if enabled). Yes, this is kind of a cache, but not one that you want to empty regularly unless there is a good reason to believe that it is corrupt or far out of date.
It would be a good idea to move the security_state entries to a new separate Winapp2 entry .
Thank you.
The entries listed below should be removed from [Firefox Caches *]. These are already included in built-in Firefox Internet Cache entry.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\cache2
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*\startupCache

For the time being and until I am able to complete a restructure of how winapp2.ini is actually built for distribution, I am not avoiding conflicts with CCleaner. I'm realizing only now that the post on GitHub I made about this was only ever saved as a draft and was not published. I have published it now
Good write up on your plans.
One thing is why should it even exist on this forum anymore? Being that CCleaner is now crippled with Custom Clean being pay-walled, and there won't be a free version that can even use winapp2.ini.

Oh wow, never knew this (still using an old version). If that is the case perhaps it shouldn't be here at all as they are, indirectly, making money from a users desire to use winapp2. And the compiler of winapp2 is not seeing any of that additional profit. I would say there is an argument for actually making winapp2 incompatible with cleaner because of this, but that might be a bit harsh on users.
https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/67171-ccleaner-62411060-will-not-do-a-custom-clean
https://community.ccleaner.com/topic/67278-horrible-change/
Just disgraceful the way it has been implemented.
Does anyone else see double entries of winapp2 the last few CCleaner updates?
I don't but I'm using an old version 5.63.7540. I listing identical things twice I thought they fixed years ago, even before that old version I use.
The double listing thing in Custom Clean does seem to keep cropping up now and again.
I don't think they have ever fully tracked down the cause of it - or if they have then some new developer comes along occasionally and makes the same coding error again.

I have CC 6.23 and it doesn't double up anymore. Instead if you press F5 to refresh the cleaner list, the line spacing increases each time you press it so the list gets longer and longer, but doesn't make double entries like it used to.

I'm on CC 6.24 (Custom Clean still free!) and have seen it a couple of times in the past week. I did experience this problem when it was first reported year(s) ago but had been clear of this problem through CC 6.23.
