Updated: http://ompldr.org/vNWl4aQ/winapp2.ini
changes in the first post.
Hey Winapp2.ini,
I've been trying to figure out how to make a Winapp2.ini for Pale Moon. Is it possible?
Thanks!
As of CCleaner 2.36.1233:
Quicktime for Vista and 7 can be removed
These lines can be removed from winapp2 MS Office Picture Manager
FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OIS|OIScatalog.cagFileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OIS\thumbnails|*.*
(however the rest on the entry is still valid i think. . . unless %localappdata = %userprofile%\local settings\application data\ then entire entry can be removed)
Cheers
I've removed those two entries, the changes will be reflected in the next post .
Also Malwarebytes is double listed (winapp.ini and winapp2.ini) I'm not sure how the new detect programfiles64 works in ccleaner's winapp.ini (if they have to listed the two versions. so I'm going to put both the winapp2 and winapp version below and let us figure out what to do
Winapp2
[Malwarebytes' Anti Malware*] LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe DetectFile=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs|*.txt FileKey2=%appdata%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Quarantine|*.*
Winapp
[Malwarebytes Anti Malware] ID=2162 LangSecRef=3024 DetectFile=%ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe Default=False FileKey1=%appdata%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs|*.txt FileKey2=%appdata%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Quarantine|*.*
the difference being your's listed (x86)
Also: any objections for me to change thread title and sticky in now that winapp2.ini (the user and the file) are up and rolling?
No objections, I'm very curious as to what %Programfiles32/64% do but haven't gotten around to testing them just yet. I will do so soon (and remove that malware bytes entry since I guess it was just added in the new version? )
- Added support for Paint Shop Pro X3, VLC Media Player, MediaMonkey, Winamp, Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Avast! Antivirus and WinPatrol.
looks like my VLC is obsolete too (/feels special it was included officially, since I wrote it )
I have to look but I think some of the other things are in winapp2.ini also
-Removed VLC
-Removed Malwarebytes
-Reoved Avast!
-Removed Winamp
-Removed WinPatrol
-Removed both Quicktime entries
-Removed FTP accounts
wooh!

Glad to know the Devs are watching for frequently requested applications
EDIT: I'm actually going to go through the list to check for more things that are now obsolete (I really dont notice a lot due to the lack of the required detect! ) Expect another update within a day or two
Also of note it seems many entries were moved to default=false (setting it to not clean until noticed by the cccleaner user). Safe I think for many, good choice
Yes I did that in the previous update, since I felt it should be up to the end user.
Sorry to do a double update but this version removes more obsolete entries

Malwarebytes is still part of the update download above.

Whoops! Oh well. I'll ammend that in the upcoming update.
Just a note- feel free to donate your own entries (everyone! ) I dont have every program in the world you know
Hi winapp2.ini ~ here is one that I just added to The Web Atom file. Its incomplete as I don't actually use the program, however its somewhere to start More to come as I work out what is in my file that isn't in yours.

Here's some I've never submitted before in TwistedMetal's winapp2.ini, and since this winapp2.ini is very active I'll submit them here. You can put the asterisk in the program header/name wherever you wish so it's not seen as a default app cleaned by CCleaner.

@TheWebAtom/WinApp2.ini/TwistedMetal (the users)
My fears have come to pass, good WinApp2.ini's are becoming fractured, in that now there are 3 versions where before there was only 1!
Now I dont know how/if you guys work with each other, or use each others work as a base... as far as i can think with looking with windiff, WinApp2.ini's is built off of TwistedMetel's, while i havent diff'd TheWebAtom's with the other 2...
Can you guys maybe get together or something... I know TwistedMetel's is now outdated so its going to be WebApp2.ini or TheWebAtom's (who makes CCleaner Enhancer, an over-glorified WinApp2.ini downloader, not saying its bad or that i dont like it, because i DO like it, but thats what it is)...
We sort of build off of each others I think, but his has a regular update schedule and mine does not.
Although if TheWebAtom wanted to collaborate entries via some web service, I wouldn't be opposed
