I have the Thumbnail cache checked on CCleaner but it isn't being deleted off my PC? I search for thumbnails.db and I can still see them hidden on nearly all desktop/document folders.
Thumbnails Cache is different from thumbnails.db.
This is what is removed by thumbnails cache
Thumbnail Cache] ID=1029 LangSecRef=3002 LangRef=3131 DetectOS=6.0 Default=true SpecialKey1=N_EX_THUMBNAIL_CACHE FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer|thumbcache_*.db FileKey2=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\ThumbCacheToDelete|thm*.tmp
also, when deleted, thumbnails.db remake themselves (except empty)
Are you sure you're not confusing Thumbnails.db with Thumbs.db?
yes I am confusing them, however the rest of what I said remains true
If you want to stop them being made in the first place just tick 'do not cache thumbnails' in folder view options.
(if we are all talking about the same thumbs )
I meant OP! haha. He said he sees them in folders, that's thumbs.db which is not cleaned by CCleaner.
