TBH I’d give it at least a full week.
The refunds are done by an outside contractor so your purchase information has to get to them before the reclaim gets enabled.
We have in the past had similar posts from people who were trying to claim the cashback too soon after purchasing, after waiting a few more days they were then able to click the button to claim it.
I must admit that I don’t like ‘cashback’ deals either.
I’ve just ordered a new laptop an hour or so ago, it was on a deal with a straight 20% discount applied before my card was charged. No messing about.
I find it VERY VERY STRANGE that less than 24 hours later (now 10 days in a row of trying to “re-claim” my $40), all of a sudden it works today.
@piriform_ccleaner If you were looking for the best possible way to piss off customers, waste their time, and lose business - You’ve successfully found it.
The worlds worst possible way to offer a “discount” while simultaneously being as obvious as possible that you’re hoping to never have to pay that discount by making it as hard to “re-claim” my own money as possible & by having a link to describe the entire “Claim” process that’s apparently not available in English.
As a custom PC builder that sells exceptionally high-end, hand-built PCs to clients for the past 25 years, CCleaner was always one of the applications I recommended to my clients.
You’ve successfully pissed me off enough to stop doing that.
Thanks for FIXING it so I could get MY OWN CASH BACK.
