Why is my Edge Browser not being cleaned?

I have Edge checked in the list of things to clean, but whenever I open Edge I’m still logged in to my email. If everything was cleaned, it should require me to log in again, right? What am I doing wrong?

Some common things to check:

Is the cleaning logging you out of other sites? Is it just the email that stays logged in?

Are you using gmail?
As long asy you are signed into your Google account then you are automatically signed into gmail.

You have Edge ticked in Custom Clean, - but are you running Custom Clean or are you running Health Check?
Health Check uses it’s own cleaning rules, not the ticks/unticks in Custom Clean.

If you are running Custom Clean then make sure that you have ‘Session’ ticked, also check that you haven’t included Edge cookies (or your email websites cookies) in Options>Cookies>Cookies to keep.

Is Edge running in the Background?
Ie. if you are running Custom Clean then does it say ‘Skipped’ for Edge?

It cleans everything else, including the other 2 browsers. Only Edge still retains information. I am using Hotmail/Outlook. I am using Custom Clean, and I have all the boxes ticked/checked. I have no Exempt Cookies listed to retain. Edge is not running in the background. It has been disabled, and every once in a while when it is slow to completely close CCleaner notices and tells me it needs to close it and I let it. Also, nothing says skipped. It actually lists all the stuff it cleaned from Edge. This is only just recently an issue. I have not changed any of the settings since the beginning, and I am using the latest version of CCleaner. Whew, did I answer all your questions?
