Why is list of Cookies to keep not saved?

I can move cookie entries from "Cookies to Delete" to "Cookies to Keep" and back. When logged in as admin, CCleaner saves my "Cookies to Keep" list. So far so good. But strange and annoying is: When logged in as a normal user, CCleaner shows the "to keep" list from my admin account and it seems as it allows any changes, but these changes are not saved. When I clean the cookies, I lose all cookies (maybe those on the admin "to keep" list are kept; I'm not sure).

This only happens if I have "Save all settings to INI file" checked. If it is not checked, it seems to work.

Bug or feature?

Seems like you have found a bug since there should be no difference between having settings in the INI file versus the registry.

I'll move this topic to the Bugs section.

I considered this normal behaviour on my XP Home system.

I was Admin and had full access to the INI file.

My daughter had a separate non-Admin profile and could run CCleaner on her profile,

but although she had READ access to the INI file, she had no WRITE access.

N.B. This was normal default behaviour by XP Home,

I had to use CACLS to fix it for her.
