I used to use Firefox as my default browser until I uninstalled it and switched to Chrome. However, the 'Applications' section of Ccleaner shows Firefox with the same boxes checked. Shouldn't it have dumped Firefox as an Application if it has been uninstalled, or would it still appear?
When you uninstalled firefox it left behind either registry or files (check appdata). The detect in ccleaner for firefox is hidden behind a specialkey instead of the plaintext of most ccleaner entries.
if you really want to go to the trouble of removing FF from CC's list, run CC with the /EXPORT switch and if you go through the 3 files produced, you'll see what CC uses to determine FF's existence.

no, unless this changed recently, firefox entries use SpecialKey for detect.
well bugger me, you are correct, just did the /EXPORT and no Firefox entries could be found in the three .INI files.
that sucks, when did that happen?

they're under "mozilla" in winapp.ini. Special key has been as far back as I can remember (other words "forever")
