why does activate your licence keep coming up

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me why why does activate your licence keep coming up I do not have a licence.

Thx Len

Are you running the trial version?

Uninstall and try the free version at the bottom of the page below

https://www.ccleaner.com/download

Hi Nergal, they are also trial versions in the link you gave, I am just running the free version I don't use my pc that much to warrant buying the full version.

Thx len

When is it coming up for you? ie. what are you doing just before it opens the register screen?

Hi Nergal,

Thanks for this all working.

Can you please tell me why CCleaner doesn't delete edge files, just says that they are skipped.

Thx again len

Usually it's because edge is not fully closed. If you've exited edge make sure it isn't hanging around in the processes section of task manager. If it is end task, then run ccleaner. Ccleaner by default will ask you if it can close edge, but you may have told it not to warn you anymore.

It's obviously still picking up that you previously had a trial version.

Try doing the following:

  1. Uninstall your current CCleaner.
  2. 'Restart' your computer (Restart not shut down).
  3. Download a new Standard installer (the first one) from here: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds
  4. Double click the downloaded installer to install a 'fresh' CCleaner.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes done all that cleared the cookies and browser, CCleaner should do all that. Just annoying that it keeps doing it.

The 'Activate your Licence' pop-ups are nothing to do with cookies or browsers.

If you have followed the above steps exactly as I gave them then have the pop-ups now stopped?

Hi,

I followed your instructions to the "T" uninstalled, but first deleted all cookies and browser this is the second time I have done so as you kindly told me the last time. Restarted each time.

Thx Len

And have your 'Activate your Licence' pop-ups stopped? or are they still happening?
