Why do browser clean with Kamo when I have CCleaner to remove everything with a 35 time overwrite? I am wary of multiple programs doing the same thing and then conflicting with each other.
Cleaning programes can’t conflict with each other, how would they?
One may clear different things than the other, so using two can clear more than using just one.
PS. 35x overwrite for secure deletion from a HDD is overkill, you are just wasting time doing all those passes.
1-pass is enough for a drive wipe.
(The 7x and 35x and leftovers from years ago when they might have been benificial for the older types of drives/filesystems in use then. With modern HDDs 1-pass is plenty, an with SSDs secure deletion isn’t needed at all),
Ok - point taken. I am just wary because I have experienced CCleaner and Norton conflict when you optimise windows and turn off the programs that start automatically and run in the background. They both have that function and if you do it with both there are sometimes problems getting them to start again. Excel, Word Nord VPN to name a few I have had trouble with.
