Why CC?

Hi all,

Would like to say I'm a complete amateur.

Currently I use a weekly maintenance agenda that was recommended to me.

Here's the link to the weekly maintenance check list...

Someone suggested I use CC.

Why would CC be beneficial?

What is CC, I have looked at the site?

Does one use CC in conjunction to a weekly maintenance check list?

Why would I need CC?

Marc

and does it work with FireFox?

Thanks TwistedMetal,

Now was getting ready to run CC and I saw something about Cookies.

There are many sites that I have "remember password and user name".

What do I need to do so CC doesn't get rid of these for me?

And, to get rid or clean all other stuff, besides cookies? I'm an amateur and want to make sure that I'm not cleaning stuff that I'll need.

Thanks,

Marc

in other words I'm not sure about deleting files permanately.

I know I don't want to delete cookies cause of the many sites I frequent with saved user name and passowrds.

Marc

You can save cookies that you want to keep.

Options>Cookies

Yes, CCleaner works with Mozilla Firefox.

CCleaner is a useful software that helps you and your computer. It does that by deleting unnescesary files and registry entries such as MRU (Most Recently Used) list, cookies, temporary internet files, etc.

That can speed up the computer and clean it from some bad stuff.

It also gives you privacy by deleting stuff stuff.

I have been using it for a while, and it really is great.

Before you run Ccleaner for the first time it is worth going through the list of stored cookies and select those you want to keep.

This list can be very long if you have used the computer for a while without cleaning cookies. If you don't want to do this all at once, you should uncheck the Cookies option from the cleaner until you are done.
