I went to the CC download page, but usually in the past I was given a choice of selecting the slim/portable download. This time I did not see the choice on the newly designed page.
How can I download the 'slim' version?

Same as before. On the Downloads page, scan to the bottom and select Builds Page, where all will be revealed.

You consistently ask this same question over, and over, and over. Countless times you've been given a link to view this page as we have absolutely zero control over it.
If you don't want to wait for the Slim build, I'd suggest doing what I did months ago which was switch to using the Portable build since they have been releasing it at or near the same time as the Standard build.
