Where does CCLeaner get it's OneDrive Versions from

Ok OneDrive is a constant software updater find. It always seems to find a version not posted on OneDrive Sync release notes - SharePoint in Microsoft 365 | Microsoft Learn

For instance, I just was offered (and took) an update of OneDrive from CCleaner. It was version 26.084.0504.0004

With no .084 listed anywhere.

@Laurence_CCleaner we’ve fielded many questions about this program and even this version of OneDrive, however we’ve never really had an answer. I remember in the past someone/company was offering ccleaner inside ring/Not-for-release versions and not actual releases, this angered the piriform people, now is their own product doing it?

Please could you use the support tool to send me log files so the dev team can review what is happening on the apps side.
The CCleaner v7.8 update will have some small changes to Software Updater, so this issue may be resolved in that update; however, it would be good to check with the dev team.

Support tool wants a ticket number and I’m not sure what you want me to do with it. (install the one drive? rescan for programs? what?)
I’ll leave this update alone for now. But @Laurence_CCleaner needs to give me detailed information he wants in the support tool’s discription etc

Sooooo, i’m going to eat some crow. While it was not a published at the time OneDrive and I’m still curious about how they get it (in this case early) but as of today the “Rolling Out” version on the learn site is indeed a 26.084.x branch as ccleaner was offering,

While i would like to know how they’re getting such far off as to be unreported versions I can consider this cleared up @Laurence_CCleaner

Thanks for flagging the highlighted version is now in the production ring.
The development team is investigating why this version was offered while still in the preview ring.
Once I have some more details, I will follow up on this thread.

To Note CCleaner finds a newer version than the .84 but I think they’re (for whatever reason) taking it from either Dev (likely) or Canary branch (figure that because my Experimental (beta) is lower version) However OneDrive is deeply integrated in Windows and may cause problems if a incompatible is triggered.

I now have a response from the development team, so I wanted to follow up as promised.
CCleaner is not offering beta or preview builds of OneDrive.
The versions surfaced by Software Updater come directly from Microsoft’s official production update feeds. The reason a version can appear in CCleaner before it shows up on Microsoft’s public release notes page is simply that Microsoft pushes new builds to their production feeds before they update their documentation.
This is actually confirmed by what you observed yourself — the 26.084.x branch that CCleaner offered you eventually did appear on the Microsoft Learn release notes page, just a few weeks later. That’s exactly the pattern our team is describing.
As a current example of this behaviour: our data already shows version 26.088.0510.0004 present in Microsoft’s production feeds, but it has not yet been published on the Microsoft OneDrive Sync release notes page.
So to directly answer the original question — CCleaner isn’t pulling from Dev, Canary, or any insider ring. It’s reading from the same production infrastructure Microsoft uses to distribute updates; it just sees those builds slightly earlier than the public-facing release notes reflect.
