First off, I'd like to say that I know that WFS does not improve performance at all and that it's really only a security measure if you're paranoid or if you're planning on selling your computer.
I honestly wasn't paying attention when I checked it off. (woops)
I know that WFS creates a large file the size of your HD and then erases it, but my question is, what happens if I stop it during this process?
It's been running for over an hour and it's not even halfway done.
So.. as the title states.. what happens if I stop CCleaner while WFS is running?
It should just delete the files and you can get along with your life. Sometimes it doesn't and leaves a weird directory in the root (usually something like C:\zZzzzzZzzzzZzZZZz from what I've seen posted here)

Ah, alright. Well I guess i'll just play it safe and let it finish. It's only got about 30% until it's done anyway.
Thanks for the reply! Good to know.
EDIT: .. Well thank god for your answer.. I come back to find my computer frozen on it's screen saver. Had to force shutdown which obviously caused CCleaner to halt. I looked in my drive and sure enough found a HUGE file named something like "EMORNJEUIHDSAIGN". Deleted it. Ran CCleaner again WITHOUT WFS. Boom. Everything is back to normal.
Glad you're sorted. In the future you can probably just cancel it, a lot of folks seem to have issues with it leaving files behind if their computer goes into sleep mode or screen saver while it's running
