What are the differences between v1 and current

Hi, everybody ! I am new to this forum and I come here for exposing my question.

I have CCleaner v1.41.544. The reason why I never tried to have newer version is that I have been perfectly happy about its behaviour...

But now, I am wondering if a much newer version can fix my current problem.

I have switched to Internet Explorer 8 (Version : 8.0.6001.18702) several months ago (maybe a couple of years ago...) , which version offers the possibility to have several different sub-windows inside one single window (in french it says : several "onglets", I do not remember the english word for it).

When I click for a new "onglet", IE offers me the possibility to re-open all the old "onglets" which were used in the last IE session.

I recently discovered that even if I run Ccleaner just before opening IE, even if the "Temporary Internet Files" directory is totally empty, IE still remembers the sites I had been visiting...

Clearly, my version of CCleaner is much older than this version of IE. Thus, I wonder where IE is hiding those history information to escape Ccleaner work, and I wonder if a newer version of Ccleaner will cope with this new feature of IE.

Version 1 is written in Visual Basic.

Version 2 is written in C++. It's faster. It has more features. There is a new release every month => Bugs are fixed.

Support for IE8 was added around 2.1x with fixes being added in versions after that. Here is a page where you can see all the changes and additions for every version.

In any case the current release should cure your IE8 related issues.
