"A minimum of five of the seven keyholders ? one each from Britain, the U.S., Burkina Faso, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, China, and the Czech Republic ? would have to converge at a U.S. base with their keys to restart the system and connect everything once again."
So how they gonna book their flights?
It would make a great film.
Lord of the Keys
Lord of the Keys
I can just see the holders staring at them saying "My Precious!"
But where's the key to rule them all ?
I was under the impression that things looked a little more like this

That's good, and one would think so!
Danger, Will Robinson!!
If you follow Winapp2.ini's link you will see a link to "Wwwyzzerdd, freakish master of the internet".
Might want to avoid that one.
I clicked on it, just for grins, and:
- It started opening popups
...I let it run...
- it opened 54 instances of Internet Explorer.
- Covered the screen w/ popups
- got a problem message from Dr Watson.
So much stuff was running that
- Locked up old HAL here tighter than Windows 98 on its worst day.
- I couldn't start process explorer or ctrl alt del to see what stuff was running.
- Could not terminate my network connection, had to physically pull the plug.
- After a while, was able to use process explorer to kill IE7
- all seems OK now, no apparent harm done, will know for sure after a restart.
Kind of exciting...I gotta get a life...

Yep, sure was. Had to use the power switch. Would that harm a computer if it was run for long?
I think Windows would crash first. But...I don't want to try
Its a bit late for April Fool's.
