Wanted Recommendations for Good Anti-Spyware Programs

I would like a list of good reliable FREE Anti-Spyware programs.

antivir antivirus

superantispyware

spyware blaster

avg antispyware

spybot

adaware personal

a squared antimalware

hostfiles

and get a router with a firewall.

to be honest, i dont run anything real time anymore. :)

A squared I dont like. I ran it on my laptop to test it out about 2 weeks ago and it found stuff that was from spyware blaster.

AVG was having update problems, but I just tried it about an hour ago and it worked fine. :)

The 2 best free antispyware programs are AVG and Suprantispyware. If you have both of those you should be pretty well protected. :)

If you look on that link I posted there is a link to another page on it with a bunch of other programs. :)

:rolleyes: Thanks for the heads up. I'll reinstall AVG Anti-Spyware now. If I encounter any problems I'll let you know.

:angry: Ireinstalled it and then had to remove it. Same problem I cannot receive updates. I GIVE UP.!! :(
