Vivaldi Speed Dials

Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well.

I looked around the forum a little but could not find the info I am looking for. I have a few folders in the speed dials of Vivaldi and use it constantly, since the new version of CCleaner, it now clears Vivaldi as part of Chrome. I would like to know what to disable so that it doesn't clear the image of the speed dial. I have to refresh each speed dial to get the image or logo to reappear. I would still like it to clear everything else, just not the speed dial images.

Hope I'm explaining it correctly.

Thanks

Mike

I have the same problem as your post!

When I specify "Applications" -> "Google chrome" -> "Internet history" to be cleared, then "C:\Users\(user folder)\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\JumpListIcons" are cleared!!!, and so spped dials of vivaldi has gone!

I think that vivaldi has the similar engine as Chrome and the similar data structures, and then CCleaner recognize Vivaldi as Chrome!

for temporary , I recommend that you do NOT specify "Applications" -> "Google chrome" -> "Internet history" of Google Chrome of CCleaner settins.

The problem is that by putting the check in "Internet History" CCleaner also clears the "Top Sites" file (C:\Users\(user folder)\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\Top Sites), where they are savate to the Speed Dial thumbnails.
Hopefully we settle the error because it is so dysfunctional.

Hi guys, and welcome to the forum.

Until this issue is sorted, which could be sooner or later, and you know the location being cleaned, why not use a CCleaner "Exclude" to enable you to keep your boxes checked and protect the locations you mention, as shown here ...

Having the box checked will not override the "Exclusion".

I'm sure the devs will be aware of the issue you outline, but to be sure I'll point this out to them.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Dennis, works properly.

Good to hear and thanks for the update.
