Vista Recycle Bin

I noticed NSA 7 Pass cleaning was much faster when I'm in windows Vista than it ever was in XP. After a few times running CCleaner, I noticed something fishy.

It looks like the recycle bin is emptied, but not with NSA 7 Pass cleaning, even when that's set in the options. The other files seem to be cleaned all right, but the recycle bin looks like it's just emptied and left alone.

I'm running MS Windows Vista (Business edition)

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+, 2.0GB ram

For example, I ran ccleaner so there should be nothing left to remove, then I moved a 45MB zip file into the recycle bin.

I clicked "Analyze" and it said 45MB to remove, but when I clicked "Run Cleaner", it just flicked once (you can tell it didn't do 7-pass), and it had this in the screen:

CLEANING COMPLETE - (1.153 secs)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

134 bytes removed.

Secure file deletion enabled - NSA (7 passes)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Details of files deleted

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IE Temporary Internet Files (2 files) 134 bytes

Emptied Recycle Bin (1 files) 45.0MB

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notice the total removed doesn't even include the 45MB file

Bump... This problem is still not fixed. I have UAC completely turned off and I log in as administrator.

the latest version has a problem with secure deletion, try again in the next version 1.40 releasing in around 7 days http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=10167.
