Hi all:
Just downloaded and installed Speccy 1.11 under Windows XP Pro, SP3.
The Firewall is still incorrectly listed as McAfee. Should be Norton Internet Security. ![:(]()
However, Norton Internet Security is correctly detected for the AV portion:
FYI - (Should really be Norton Internet Security 2011, not just Norton Internet Security) ![:D]()

Mr. Ron, could you please shed some light on this?
Thanks.
Hi.
Can a Dev kindly acknowledge my above post?
Thanks! ![:D]()
The developers do read all of the posts made on the forums, but they don't always respond.
Rest assured ![:)]()
This is a known bug, there are many threads where-in the developers have already commented. There are actively working on a fix (AFAIK).

Thanks.
It would be nice if these common threads could be consolidated into a new "Speccy Known Issues" super thread.

Will the Firewall detection issue be corrected soon?
i assume you think I or someone else will provide any different answer each time you ask. Nobody will. When it is ready to be tried again they will mention it in a change log ( as they did in the last change log) the issue's gotten better for some, depending on the av/firewall.

Hey Nergal... Exactly what I thought you would say. ![]()
I wonder if the problem relates to an old GUID entry in the System Registry that was never deleted upon uninstall.
Even though I used the latest revision of CCleaner, is it possible that something was left behind?
I tried using SIW and it returned McAfee for both the AV and FW.
Upon searching for the GUID's that it stated (for the AV and FW,) they were not to be found. ![]()
Speecy 1.11 does detect the correct AV, though - just not the FW, yet.
Oh, well... Patience.
Update...
Tried Speccy 1.11 on 2 other systems running Windows XP/SP3 and Norton Internet Security 2011.
Only the AV is properly detected, not the FW.
FWIW ![]()
MR. Ron, just this week in one of the other (billion) threads on this subject, stated they are still working on this issue.
