VCL update issue.

Hi everybody. It's already I think more than 15 years I'm using the free version of CCleaner and I always found it nice and smart but lately I found a little problem: I'm using as almost everybody VLC and I have it always updated to the last version. Well, cCleaner insists saying I'm not updated (with version 3.0.12) as for it the last version is the 3.0.13. I checked on vlc's site... last version downloadable is mine. Please, fix it asap as it's not nice keeping saying "have to update to the pay version" when the pay version would try to update to a version which don't ever exit.

Sorry if my English is not perfect but I hope was clear enough.

Thanks and bye

I'm seeing it too.

VLC v3.0.13 has been released, but as far as I know it's only released for Android not Windows.

I've flagged it to the staff.

for macosx

My mistake based on what the official Videolan site downloaded for me when I Googled for 3.0.13.

I hadn't actually checked to see if there was a later Android version, just went with what it had downloaded.

The latest Android version is downloadable through Google Playstore, Amazon Apps, or apk mirrors rather than from the Videolan site.

The updating issue with CCleaner seems to have been fixed now - neither Health Check or Software Updater are shouting that there is a new version.

PS. This VLC issue is not an update suggestion for CCleaner v6; so I've split these 4 posts into their own thread in CCleaner Help Requests.

hi nukecad,

no need for justification. everything is good. ?

@roby58

There was/is problem/bug with the updater in VLC v3.0.12 (and v3.0.13) and so they pulled v3.0.13.

They have now released v3.0.14 to fix the bug - BUT because of the fault in v3.0.12 it will not automatically install and so you need to install it manually.
