After running a custom scan I get a full screen popup trying to upsell me the paid version. There is no way to close that window. I have to go the taskbar and close the window. Another annoying problem with version 7

I also face this “problem.” My quick work-around is to go to the taskbar (I keep my CCleaner icon there) and close the program. I then reopen it and try again. Sometimes it takes me three times to clean everything I wish to clean. It’s annoying, but it works. If you find a solution for eliminating this pop-up, please share. Thanks!
I wish CCleaner would get there act together and fix this annoying problem and others. I’m wondering if tech support is actually reading all these complaints.
No solution. I just close the window from the task bar
No solution I just close the window from the task bar and try again. No matter what you’re doing if you don’t so it quick enough the up sell pop up will appear. Really very annoying.
this answer is based on previous occurrence of undismissable windows (the welcome screen), yours is the first I’ve seen with the upsell.
next time it appears try to enter in your keyboard Alt+F4 and see if it closes.
note i am a user and only trying to give you troubleshooting. I am not employed by piriform to get information from the developers.
Thank you for your reply, however, your suggestion does not work. I’ll just have to use the taskbar method. As I see it I have two options: reinstall V6 or delete CCleaner all together. Tech support needs to fix this!
