Using CC on startup automatically

I am trying to find out if CC can be run on individual logins on a Windows PC, or if it only runs at startup (turning the power on)?

Our Windows XP Media Center PC is configured with several different logins for different family members. I would like to be able to automatically run CC on startup (logging in) on certain logins, but not others. Is this possible? The help doc says the following:

=====

To run CCleaner automatically when Windows starts:

1.In CCleaner, click the Options icon at left, and then click the Settings button.

2.Select Run CCleaner when the computer starts.

=====

I am assuming this means from the point of when the computer is physically powered on. However, we never turn ours off as it is constantly in use pretty much around the clock. Therefore, I would like to be able to run it automatically when logging in after the PC is already turned ON, rather than before logging off the machine (because of a Firefox / CC problem detailed elsewhere here)... is this possible and how do I do it? TIA.

To only clean selected user profiles there's two ways of accomplishing the clean on startup:

  • For each individual user profile enable in CCleaner's Options->Settings:

    Run CCleaner when computer starts

  • Or create a shortcut in each individual user profile Startup folder that's in

    “%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup” and make a new shortcut with this in it:

    “C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe” /AUTO

Thanks I'll give that a go...
